The short version

Hangman doesn't need an account and doesn't ask for your name or email. Your game progress stays on your device.

Data stored on your device

We use your browser's local storage to remember your stats (games, wins, streaks, coins), your settings (theme, sound, category), whether you bought Premium, and your cookie choice. This data never leaves your device. Clear your browser's site data to delete it.

Analytics

If analytics are turned on, we record anonymous gameplay events, such as a game starting or ending, a hint being used, or a result being shared. We use them to improve the game. We use one of these services:

• Plausible Analytics: sets no cookies and collects no personal data (Plausible data policy).
• Google Analytics 4: uses cookies and loads only after you accept them in the cookie banner (Google Privacy Policy).

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdSense (web) or Google AdMob (app). Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads and measure them. On the web, these load only after you accept cookies. You can learn more and opt out of personalised ads at Google's advertising page and Ad Settings.

Purchases

The "Remove ads" (Premium) purchase is handled by the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). We never see your payment details.

Children

Hangman is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. Where required, ads are served as non-personalised.
